MMU: Research Institute for Health & Social Change - 2010 Annual Conference
Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd July 2010
Call for submissions - Strict deadline 30th May 2010
Contributions to RIHSC's sixth annual conference are invited from researchers,
postgraduate students and practitioners in the fields of health and social change.
If you're just attending and not contributing, please register as delegate, so we're aware of numbers.
Attendance is free and as last year, the conference will be in the John Dalton Building, Manchester, M1 5GD.
The focus of keynotes and debates, will naturally acknowledge the focus of RIHSC's research areas but topics more broadly within
the areas of Health and Social Change are welcome. The Exercise and Sports Science element of the Institute for Performance
Research (IPR) in Cheshire will be joining us this year.
# Please forward this call on. We are particularly interested in seeing presentations recognising interdisciplinarity or
partnership in research projects and contributions from collaborators are welcome.
Your submissions can be for either of
- a short presentation/paper (15 mins + 5 for questions)
- a round table discussion (40 minutes)
- a panel lead debate (40 minutes)
- a poster presentation. (posters previously used at other conferences can be used, though in that case consider doing also a
seminar presentation)
The topics for these can be broader than normal conference presentations; reviews, presentations on policy, methodology etc are
all welcome, as are non-traditional contributions such as requests for feedback on ideas. Contributions that are presentations on
current research projects and more innovative sessions, are also welcome.
Submissions should be received by 30th May 2010 and should include a 250 word abstract and the attached form.
Delegate registration is helpful but not required - please complete the attached and return asap.
