The core mission of the Methodology Institute is to provide first-class methodological training to graduate students and to be a centre of excellence in the discipline. You will have the opportunity to develop an association with an academic department in the School that shares your research or disciplinary interests.

You will be active in carrying out research, and will teach and supervise at postgraduate level and in addition carry out administrative and pastoral duties. You will be able to demonstrate achievement and research potential in any area of the social sciences; in particular in combination with Qualitative Methodology of Social Research. You will also have a completed PhD in a relevant subject by 1 August 2009.

An appointment to the above post will be made at either the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, but it is our preference to appoint at Senior Lecturer level. Please state clearly on your application which level you are applying at.

The post will commence from 1 August 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter.
