The Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany, invites applications for a

University Professorship (salary scale W3) in Practical Philosophy with
a focus on Ethics of Science

to be appointed as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will participate in the teaching of the
interdisciplinary Bachelor (teacher training program) in the subjects of
Philosophy and Values and Norms, as well as in the minor Philosophy in
the Bachelor program Political Science. Teaching is in German. The
candidate should be prepared to cooperate across disciplinary boundaries
and to contribute to the development of new study programs. Experiences
with application for third-party funding, as well as good international
contacts are expected.

The general tasks, responsibilities and appointment requirements are
specified in the Higher Education Act of Lower Saxony (Niedersächsisches
Hochschulgesetz -- NHG). Details will be explained on request. An option
of part-time employment is possible.

The Leibniz Universität Hannover aims, in particular, to promote women
within the scope of the statutory provisions and, hence, emphatically

principle, receive an employment contract that does not include the
German civil servant status.
