The Institute of Philosophy, K.U.Leuven (Belgium) announces four full-time tenured academic positions:
1. Junior tenure track position for social and political philosophy. The appointment starts on October 1, 2009. Candidates are doctor in Philosophy. They are ready to teach courses and seminars, mainly in Dutch, and to contribute to the research activities of the Centre for Ethics, Social and Political Philosophy, and the Centre for Global Governance Studies. 2. Junior tenure track position for Intellectual History and History of Ancient Philosophy. The appointment starts on October 1, 2010. Candidates are doctor in Philosophy. They are ready to teach courses and seminars, both in Dutch and English, and to contribute to the research activities of the De Wulf-Mansion Centre for Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy. They will also conduct interdisciplinary research in the field of Intellectual History. Deadline for applications is September 30, 2009. 3. Senior academic position for Analytical Philosophy. The appointment starts on October 1, 2010. Candidates are doctor in Philosophy. They are ready to teach courses and seminars, both in Dutch and English, and to contribute to the research activities of the Centre for Logic and Analytical Philosophy. 4. Senior academic position for Philosophy of Culture. The appointment starts on October 1, 2010. Candidates are doctor in Philosophy. They are ready to teach courses and seminars, both in Dutch and English, and to contribute to the research activities of the Centre for Culture and Philosophy. They will also conduct interdisciplinary research combining philosophy of culture and aesthetics with cultural sciences and art theory. Deadline for applications is September 30, 2009.
