AHRC StudentshipsArts and HumanitiesThe University of Essex has submitted a proposal for a number of Masters and Doctoral studentship awards for 2009/10, through the AHRC Block Grant Partnership (BGP) award scheme, in the following Arts and Humanities subject areas: History, History of Art, Architecture and Design, Museum Studies, English Language and Literature, Creative Writing, Linguistics, Dance, Drama and Performing Arts, Law, Philosophy, and Film Studies and Television Studies. For further information about these subject areas at the University of Essex please visit the relevant departmental WebPages at http://www.essex.ac.uk/depts/ In order to be considered for AHRC funding through the University you need to have applied to study at the University of Essex. Applicants should indicate on the application form that they wish to be considered for AHRC funding opportunities. AHRC funding is available in two ways; either through the BGP or the Studentship Competition. The results of our proposal for AHRC studentships through the BGP award will be publicised in February 2009. The closing date for receipt of applications for AHRC funding is Monday 23 February 2009. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
