De Philosophia: Call For Papers
The editorial staff of De Philosophia and the Graduate Philosophy
Student Association at the University of Ottawa are proud to announce
the
5th Annual Graduate Student Conference
in Philosophy at the University of Ottawa
March 27-28, 2009
Deadline for submissions: February 8, 2009

Lucas A. Swaine, Associate Professor of Government,
Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH
Submission Policy:
In order to best reflect the tradition of philosophical pluralism
upheld both by De Philosophia and the greater philosophical community
at the University of Ottawa, papers from all areas of philosophy will
be considered for the conference. We are simply interested in high
quality, innovative philosophical research.
Submissions in French or English from graduate students are welcome.
Manuscripts should be able to be read in 30 min. (approx. 12-15pp,
double spaced, standard type, e.g. Times New Roman 12pt.).
Authors submitting manuscripts should attach in an email a copy of
their text and an abstract of no more than 150 words. Attachments
should be in either .DOC or .RTF format. Manuscripts should be double
spaced with no identifying references. Notes should be single spaced
at the bottom of each page.
On a separate sheet, authors must include their name, institutional
affiliation, e-mail address and the title of their submission. On this
sheet, the author may indicate whether he/she would also like to be
considered for giving commentary on other papers.
