Salary: £35,469 - £43,622 per annum.
The Role

Applications are invited for the above, full-time lectureship, which is available from 1 October 2009 (or as soon as possible thereafter), on an open ended contract.

We are seeking a scholar who can make a significant contribution to our research and teaching in political philosophy. The successful candidate will contribute to the research activities of the Morrell Centre in Toleration, and an ability to contribute to teaching and research in contemporary issues in toleration may be an advantage. The duties of the post holder will include developing a research profile that will contribute to the Department in terms of REF performance and success in securing research grants, and carrying administrative responsibility within the Department. A record of publications commensurate with the candidate’s years of experience is essential.

The successful candidate will already have, or be nearing the completion of, a PhD in a relevant field.
