Lectureship in Psychosocial StudiesDepartment of Psychosocial StudiesSchool of Social Sciences, History and Philosophy Lectureship in Psychosocial Studies Ref: 10230 This is an opportunity for applicants with interests in teaching and research in psychosocial studies. This might include those working with psychosocial approaches in any of the following areas: discursive and critical psychology; psychoanalysis; psychodynamic and systemic psychotherapy; social theory and research, including sociological, feminist, philosophical, postcolonial and queer perspectives. It is desirable that you have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area or be very close to completion. You should have outstanding research ability and potential, and be excited at the opportunity to contribute to the new School in this early period of its development. The post is tenable from 1 September 2009. Salary: £33,501 rising to £38,376 per annum pro rata inclusive of London Allowance. This job is part time and fixed term for three years in the first instance. The salary quoted above is inclusive of London allowance. The initial salary award will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. The appointment may be subject to a probationary period.
