3-Year Interdisciplinary Environmental PhD StudentshipFaculty of Social Science and Faculty of ScienceRef, RDKH The Open University invites applications for a full-time, fully-funded PhD studentship for environmental research across the social and natural sciences. The studentship will be jointly held in the Departments of Geography (Faculty of Social Sciences) and Earth and Environmental Sciences or Life Sciences (Faculty of Science). The Departments have thriving research cultures and are engaged in world-class research in environmental science, policy, politics and theory, and were highly rated in the 2001 and 2008 Research Assessment Exercises. Our interests include: Climate change, Natural hazards, Biodiversity and conservation, Water and soils, Urban environments, Agriculture and Mining Applicants should have at least a 2.1 at undergraduate level and preferably a relevant master’s degree.
