Students intending to study Aesthetics at PhD level might be interested to note that the British Society of Aesthetics is offering a PhD Studentship in this area. Aesthetics is one of the research strengths of the York Philosophy Department. For information on the BSA award, see: http://www.british-aesthetics.org/phdstudentshipaward.aspx Note that candidates are only eligible to apply if they have already been accepted onto the PhD programme, so they must apply for admission first.

Further information on awards in the Philosophy Department can be obtained from Professor Peter Lamarque, Graduate Admissions Officer (pvl1@york.ac.uk), and, for awards in Political Philosophy, from Professor Matt Matravers (mdm3@york.ac.uk).
