University of Sussex - Philosophy - AHRC Studentship

The Philosophy Department at the University of Sussex invites applications
for AHRC masters and doctoral studentships in Philosophy.

Philosophy at Sussex is distinctive in a number of ways. Unlike most other
universities, we cover both Anglo-American 'analytic' and Post-Kantian
'continental' philosophical traditions, and allow postgraduate students at
all levels to specialise in one tradition or to draw on both. We are a
friendly, lively intellectual community, and one which is practically
unique in the UK in terms of the range and diversity of philosophical
topics, thinkers and approaches that we teach and write about. We provide
outstanding teaching and supervision, and are keen to hear from applicants
who think they would benefit from our open-minded, scholarly approach to
traditional philosophical problems.
