MPhilMulti-disciplinary Gender StudiesDepartment of GeographyApplications are now invited for this new MPhil in Multi-disciplinary Gender Studies at the University of Cambridge. The MPhil will introduce students from a wide variety of academic, business and policy backgrounds to the traditions, methods and front-line research which shape an advanced gender analysis of human society. The MPhil is an 11 month course which is designed for those who wish to go on to do doctoral research or equally for those who simply want to enhance their understanding of gender analysis and attain a freestanding postgraduate degree course in its own right. Graduates from this MPhil should emerge as highly desirable candidates for NGO, governmental, policy, business and academic careers. Over 20 different departments within Cambridge University will come together on this course to address a range of topics including Conflict; Globalization; Social Policy; Culture; Bio-medical advances, Human Rights and Justice. Minimum academic requirement: An upper second-class degree or equivalent is the requirement for entry.
