University of PortsmouthPhD Opportunities in PsychologyThe Department of Psychology, University of Portsmouth is a recognized ESRC research training outlet. We invite intending applicants for ESRC PhD studentships to contact potential supervisors with a view to developing an application for submission to the 2009 ESRC Annual Open Studentship Competition. The Department will hold an internal competition to select the application(s) judged to be of the highest quality for submission. Applications for both +3 and 1+3 studentships will be considered. Applications should be written, in consultation with the intended supervisor, using the Je-S submission system, and must be completed for internal evaluation by 20th April 2009. Research in psychology and related interdisciplinary areas at Portsmouth includes internationally recognized work in Ecological Psychology, Emotions, Forensic Psychology, Language, Cognition and Communication, Primatology and Visual Attention.
