Postgraduate Studies in Philosophy at the University of Bristol
The University of Bristol invites applications for postgraduate study in
Philosophy.
We offer three MA program (MA in Philosophy, MA in Philosophy and History
of Science, MA in Philosophy and Law) and an MLitt / PhD program.
We are one of the leading philosophy departments in the UK, offering expert
supervision in all areas of analytic philosophy, especially philosophy of
science, mathematics and logic, ancient philosophy, and ethics and
political philosophy.
The department has a lively research culture, a strong postgraduate
community, and welcomes a steady stream of distinguished speakers and
visitors. We host numerous conferences, workshops and research seminars
throughout the academic year. We are a friendly and international
department, with faculty and postgraduate students from all corners of the
world.
We have no fixed deadline for applications for admission to the
postgraduate programs in 2009. However, candidates wishing to be considered
for AHRC funding must apply before the end of March.
